The Google Calendar integration is one of Meetlr's most important features. It ensures your availability is always accurate, prevents double bookings, and keeps your calendar organized automatically.
Setting Up the Integration
Navigate to Settings > Integrations and click Connect Google Calendar. Authenticate with your Google account and approve the requested permissions. Once connected, you will see your Google calendars listed in the integration settings.
Two-Way Sync Explained
The integration works in both directions:
- Meetlr to Google — When a guest books through Meetlr, an event is created on your Google Calendar with the meeting title, guest details, and conference link
- Google to Meetlr — When you create or modify events directly on Google Calendar, Meetlr reads those events and blocks the corresponding time slots on your booking page
This ensures that no matter where you manage your schedule, your Meetlr availability stays accurate.
Conflict Detection
Meetlr checks all your enabled Google calendars for conflicts before showing a time slot as available. If you have a dentist appointment on your personal calendar at 2 PM, that slot will not appear on your booking page. This works across all calendars you enable for conflict checking.
Multiple Calendar Support
Most people have more than one Google calendar. In the integration settings, toggle on each calendar you want Meetlr to check for conflicts. You can also select which specific calendar new Meetlr bookings are added to using the Add events to dropdown.
Sync Frequency
The sync runs in near real-time. Changes typically appear within seconds on both sides. If you notice a delay, you can force a manual sync from the integration settings page.
Tips
- Enable all relevant calendars for conflict checking to prevent any overlap
- Use a dedicated calendar for Meetlr bookings if you want to keep them separate from personal events
- Verify the sync is working by creating a test booking and checking your Google Calendar
