Cancelling & Rescheduling Bookings

Cancel or reschedule bookings with a few clicks. Guests are automatically notified of any changes.

Plans change, and Meetlr makes it easy to cancel or reschedule bookings when they do. Both you and your guests can make changes, and automatic notifications keep everyone in the loop.

Cancelling a Booking

Navigate to Bookings in the sidebar and find the booking you want to cancel. Click on it to open the detail view, then click the Cancel button. You will be asked to confirm the cancellation and optionally add a reason. Once confirmed, Meetlr sends a cancellation notification to the guest and frees up the time slot on your calendar.

Rescheduling a Booking

From the booking detail view, click Reschedule. A calendar view opens showing your available time slots. Select a new date and time for the meeting. Click Confirm Reschedule and Meetlr updates the booking, moves the calendar event, and sends the guest an email with the new meeting details.

Guest-Initiated Changes

Guests can also cancel or reschedule their own bookings. Every confirmation and reminder email includes Reschedule and Cancel links. When a guest makes a change, you receive a notification email so you are immediately aware.

Cancellation Policies

You can set a minimum cancellation notice period for your events. For example, requiring 24 hours notice prevents guests from cancelling at the last minute. This is configured in the event settings under the Booking Rules section.

Tips

  • When cancelling, always include a reason — it is professional and helps maintain the relationship
  • Encourage rescheduling over cancelling by making the reschedule flow easy and prominent
  • Set reasonable cancellation policies that protect your time without being overly strict
  • Follow up with cancelled guests to offer alternative times
