Meetlr provides four distinct event types, each tailored to a specific scheduling need. Understanding the differences helps you pick the right type for every situation.
One-on-One Events
One-on-One events are the most common type, shown with a blue accent on your event cards. They allow a single guest to book a private meeting with you. Use these for consultations, coaching sessions, interviews, or any meeting where it is just you and one other person.
Key Features
- Single guest per time slot
- Flexible duration options (15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, or custom)
- Buffer time between meetings
- Automatic calendar conflict detection
Group Events
Group events appear with a purple accent and allow multiple guests to book the same time slot. This is ideal for workshops, webinars, group classes, or office hours.
Key Features
- Configurable maximum number of attendees per slot
- Optional waitlist when slots fill up
- Each guest books independently and receives their own confirmation
- Full attendee list visible in your dashboard
Full Day Events
Full Day events use an amber accent and represent all-day bookings without specific start and end times. Perfect for workshops, retreats, off-site meetings, or any event that spans an entire day.
Key Features
- Blocks the entire day on your calendar
- No time slot selection — guests pick a date
- Great for multi-day events when combined with date ranges
One-Off Events
One-Off events are marked with an emerald accent and are designed for events that happen only once at a specific date and time. After the event passes or is booked, it automatically deactivates.
Key Features
- Fixed date and time — no recurring availability
- Automatically deactivates after the event date
- Perfect for limited-availability offerings
Choosing the Right Type
Ask yourself these questions when creating a new event:
- How many people will attend? One person means One-on-One. Multiple people means Group.
- Does it span an entire day? Use Full Day.
- Is it a one-time occurrence? Use One-Off.
- Is it recurring? Use One-on-One or Group with your weekly availability schedule.
You can create multiple event types and let guests choose the one that fits their needs from your booking page.
