Creating a One-on-One Event

Create your first one-on-one event in Meetlr with custom duration, availability windows, location, and more.

One-on-One events are the foundation of scheduling in Meetlr. They let one guest at a time book a private meeting with you. This guide walks you through every step of creating one.

Step 1: Start the Event Creation

Click Events in the left sidebar to open your events list. Click the New Event button in the top-right corner. Select One-on-One from the event type options to open the creation form.

Step 2: Basic Details

Enter the Event Name — this is what guests see on your booking page. Choose something clear like "30-Minute Consultation" or "Discovery Call." Add an optional Description explaining what the meeting covers. Select a Color to visually distinguish this event on your dashboard.

Step 3: Duration and Time Slots

Set the Duration of the meeting. Common options are 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes, but you can enter any custom duration. Configure Buffer Time to add padding before or after each meeting. Set the Minimum Notice to control how far in advance someone must book.

Step 4: Location

Choose where the meeting takes place:

  • Google Meet — Automatically generates a unique meeting link for each booking
  • Zoom — Creates a Zoom room if you have connected your Zoom account
  • Phone Call — Displays your phone number or asks the guest for theirs
  • In Person — Shows a physical address
  • Custom — Enter any location or instructions

Step 5: Schedule Assignment

Select which Availability Schedule applies to this event. By default, your primary weekly schedule is used. If you have created additional schedules, pick the appropriate one from the dropdown.

Step 6: Save and Share

Click Save to create the event. You are taken to the event detail page where you can copy the booking link, preview the booking page, or configure advanced options like custom questions and email notifications.

Tips

  • Use buffer times of at least 5-10 minutes between meetings
  • Set a maximum number of bookings per day to limit your load
  • Write a clear description so guests know exactly what to expect
