Connecting Google Calendar to Meetlr ensures your availability is always up to date. When someone books through Meetlr, the event appears on your Google Calendar. When you block time on Google Calendar, those slots become unavailable for bookings.
How to Connect
Navigate to Settings > Integrations from the left sidebar in your Meetlr dashboard. Under the Google Calendar section, click Connect Google Calendar. You will be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen.
Permissions Explained
Google will ask you to grant Meetlr the following permissions:
- View your calendars — Meetlr reads your existing events to determine when you are busy
- Manage events on your calendars — Meetlr creates new events when someone books a meeting with you
Meetlr only accesses calendar event times and titles. It does not read email, contacts, or any other Google data.
Selecting Calendars for Conflict Checking
After connecting, choose which calendars Meetlr checks for conflicts. Open Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar and toggle on each calendar that should block your availability. If you have a personal calendar and a work calendar, enable both so that personal appointments also prevent booking conflicts.
Two-Way Sync in Action
Once connected, the sync works in both directions. New Meetlr bookings are added to your selected Google Calendar with the meeting title, guest name, and conferencing link. Events you add directly to Google Calendar block the corresponding time slots on your Meetlr booking page. The sync runs in near real-time, typically within a few seconds.
Troubleshooting
If your calendar does not appear to be syncing, try disconnecting and reconnecting from Settings > Integrations. Ensure you approved all requested permissions during the OAuth flow. If you recently changed your Google password, you may need to re-authenticate.
Next Steps
With Google Calendar connected, your availability is now live. Create your first event by clicking New Event from the Events page, and your calendar availability will automatically apply.
