Single-use links are booking URLs that become inactive after one person books through them. They give you fine-grained control over who can schedule with you and prevent a link from being shared beyond its intended recipient.
When to Use Single-Use Links
- Sending a private invitation to a specific person
- Offering a complimentary session that should only be booked once
- Controlling access to limited-availability time slots
- Preventing a link from being forwarded and reused
Generating a Single-Use Link
Open the event you want to create a link for from the Events page. Click the 3-dot menu on the event card or navigate to the event detail page. Select Create Single-Use Link from the menu. Meetlr generates a unique URL that you can copy and send to the intended recipient.
How Expiration Works
Once the recipient books a time through the single-use link, the link is automatically deactivated. Anyone else who tries to use the same URL will see a message indicating the link is no longer available. If no one books, the link remains active until you manually revoke it or the event itself is deactivated.
Managing Your Single-Use Links
You can view all active and expired single-use links from the event detail page under the Single-Use Links tab. From here you can revoke links that have not been used, see which ones were redeemed, and generate new ones as needed.
Tips
- Include a personal note when sending the link so the recipient knows what it is for
- Generate links in batches if you need to send private invitations to multiple people
- Use single-use links for VIP or complimentary sessions to prevent abuse
